Sticking to the unintentional and unofficial theme of the week: former/current UFC champ Randy Couture…

Word on the street (Superherohype Avenue, to be exact) is that Couture has a part in the upcoming film ‘Mandrake.’ The movie looks to fall under the ‘churn out as many comic book movies as you can before the bubble bursts’ category, although Jonathan Rhys Myers and director Chuck Russell could, theoretically, prove me wrong. Of course, theoretically, time travel is possible.

With ‘Red Belt’ and ‘Scorpion King: Rise of the Akkadian’ still in the future, it’s hard to say just what Couture’s big screen future will be. Here’s an idea, though. We can compare his fight stats to his IMDB stats over the next few years and see which ends up on top: Big victories over big name fighters or big roles in big movies. Heavyweight gold or Oscar gold. Body slams or big budget bombs. Pre-fight press conferences or paparazzi pics…I should stop.
